The opening and closing ceremonies of competitions, the ritual of awarding winners should be colorful and impressive, as they have important propaganda and educational significance. These are ceremonial events, including parades, flag raising, awards, greetings, exchange of pennants, etc. They emphasize the festivity and significance of what is happening.

The opening ceremony of the competition should be held when the largest number of spectators is present. This is usually a break between two meetings.
To conduct the grand opening of the competition, an opening scenario is drawn up, to which is attached a diagram of the exit and location of the teams on the playing field. The script must indicate the sequence of rituals performed and those responsible for their implementation.

The following sequence is recommended: a fanfare signal, a short introductory announcer's text, a ceremonial march for the teams participating in the parade, formation of teams on the playing field, team captains returning the challenge prizes of the winners of previous competitions to the panel of judges, greeting of the participants by officials, team captains raising the competition flag, the chefs present souvenirs, pennants, flowers, and a march is played for the teams to leave the field. See also: download Photoshop on the Designcu portal.

The parade must be carried out without verbal commands. The order in which teams enter and their location on the playing field during international competitions is determined by the alphabet: abroad - Latin, in our country - Russian. The hosts of the competition are always the last to leave.

To conduct the ceremony, each team is obliged to hand over to the organizers its national flag measuring 2 m 50 cmX2 m and the national anthem recorded on a record or magnetic tape.

At competitions with the participation of union republics, teams are built according to the sequence specified in the Constitution of the USSR. At competitions with the participation of DFSO teams of trade unions and departments, they are arranged in alphabetical order or according to the places occupied in previous competitions

Teams enter the field in the following order: in front is a boy (or girl) carrying a stencil with the team name, a standard bearer with the team’s flag, then the team goes in a column one or two at a time.

As the team moves from the entrance to the playing field to its location on it, the announcer reads a text about the history of the team’s performance. While reading the text, the sound of the march is muffled.

The small greeting with which the official addresses the competition participants should end with the words: “I declare the competition open!” After this, the announcer announces: “The right to raise the competition flag is given to the team captain...” Usually the right to raise the flag is given to the team captain - the winner of previous competitions. If the competition is held for the first time, the right to raise the flag is given to the captains of the participating teams. At competitions of DFSO trade unions or departments, sports clubs, the flag of this society is raised.

When holding bilateral official international meetings, the anthem of the guests is played first, and then the anthem of the country hosting the team. During the performance of the anthems, it is recommended to dim the lights in the hall and alternately illuminate the national flags of the participating teams with a spotlight.

The state flag and flags of the union republics can be hung in the halls in both horizontal and vertical positions. This is determined only by the overall capabilities of the sports facility and the method of attaching the flags. In any flag arrangement, the verbal images must be in the upper left corner of the flag.

In the Soviet Union, when international tournaments are held, the flags of the countries participating in this tournament are hung in the order of the Russian alphabet from left to right. Movies online for free in excellent quality.

The scenario of a sports competition (as a rule, scenarios for the opening and closing ceremonies of the competition, rewarding participants, etc.) in general can be characterized as a brief summary of the plot scheme on the basis of which the events are held, as a unique and specific literary and director’s development, in in a number of cases traditional and normatively fixed.

Usually, the script sets out in a strictly sequential relationship everything that will happen at the ceremonies of the sports competition, reveals the theme of successive elements of the action, shows transitions from one part to another, provides means for increasing the activity of the participants, special equipment for the scene, musical accompaniment and etc.

When developing scenarios for the ceremonies of major sporting competitions, the classical scheme of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games, as well as awarding the winners, which are regulated by the Olympic Charter, is often used to one degree or another. In this regard, we consider it appropriate to characterize these ceremonies according to the original source - the Olympic Charter.

Opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games(bye-law to Rule 69 of the Olympic Charter)

The opening ceremony must take place at least one day before the start of the competitions of the Olympic Games and Winter Olympic Games. The Olympic Games are declared open by the head of state of the organizing country.

The head of state is met at the entrance to the stadium by the President of the IOC and the President of the OKOY. Both presidents then escort the head of state to his box on the official podium.

After this, the parade of participants begins. Each delegation, walking in its official uniform, must carry a banner with its name, accompanied by its flag, which is carried by one of the members of the delegation.

Flags of participating delegations and banners with their names are provided by the Organizing Committee; they should all be the same size. Persons carrying banners are designated by the OKI.

All parade participants are prohibited from carrying flags, banners, packages, cameras or other conspicuous accessories or items that are not part of their official uniform.

Delegations are in alphabetical order of the host country, with the exception of Greece, which opens the procession, and the host country, which ends it. Only athletes participating in the Olympic Games and eligible to be accommodated in the Olympic Village may participate in the parade; they are headed by a maximum of six officials per delegation.

Delegations greet the Head of State and the IOC President as they pass by their box.

Having made a circle around the stadium, each delegation goes to the seats reserved for it to observe the further course of the ceremony - with the exception of the one who carries the flag: he remains on the field.

The IOC President, accompanied by the OCPO President, approaches the podium located on the field in front of the official podium. The President of the OKOY makes an address (no more than three minutes), then adds the following words: “I have the honor to invite... the President of the International Olympic Committee to speak.”

The IOC President makes a speech, adding the following to it: “I have the honor to invite... (the head of state) to declare open the Games... the Olympic Games of our time (or... the Winter Olympic Games)."

The head of state declares the Games open as follows: “I declare open the Olympic Games in ... (name of city), celebrating ... the Olympics of modern times (or ... the Winter Olympic Games)."

During the performance of the Olympic anthem, the Olympic flag is brought into the stadium - unfurled, in a horizontal position - and then it is raised on a mast installed in the arena.

The Olympic torch is carried into the stadium by runners who pass it along the relay. The last runner circles the track before the Olympic flame is lit, which must not be extinguished until the end of the Olympic Games. Once the fire is lit, doves are released as a symbolic gesture.

The standard bearers of all delegations line up in a semicircle in front of the podium. An athlete from the organizing country rises to the podium. Holding a corner of the Olympic flag in his left hand and raising his right hand, he makes the following solemn oath: “On behalf of all participants, I promise that we will take part in these Olympic Games respecting and abiding by the rules under which they are held, in the true spirit of sportsmanship, in the name of the glory of sport and the honor of our teams."

Immediately after this, a judge from the host country rises to the podium and, taking the same position, takes the following oath: “On behalf of all judges and officials, I promise that we will perform our duties at these Olympic Games with complete impartiality, respecting and respecting the rules by which they are conducted are in a true sporting spirit.”

After this, the orchestra or choir performs the anthem of the organizing country. The standard bearers then proceed to their designated seats to observe the artistic portion of the program.

In the event that, with the consent of the IOC, an additional opening ceremony is held at another Olympic venue, the IOC Executive Board determines its protocol based on a proposal from the OKOY. Closing ceremony must take place on the last day of competition of the Olympic Games and Winter Olympic Games.

The Closing Ceremony must be held at the stadium at the end of all competitions. Participants of the Olympic Games who have the right to be accommodated in the Olympic Village take their assigned seats in the stands. The flag bearers of the participating delegations and those carrying banners enter the stadium in a column one at a time in the same order and occupy the same places in the center of the field as at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. Athletes march behind them, regardless of citizenship.

The standard bearers form a semicircle behind the podium. The President of the IOC and the President of the Olympic Committee rise to the podium. To the sound of the Greek national anthem, the Greek flag is raised on the mast to the right of the central mast used for the medal ceremony. The host country's flag is then raised on the central mast while that country's anthem is played. Finally, on the left mast, to the sounds of the anthem of the country hosting the next Olympic Games, its flag is raised. The Mayor of the host city joins the IOC President on the podium and presents to him (in the case of the Olympic Games) the flag donated by the Belgian Olympic Committee in 1920, or (in the case of the Winter Olympic Games) the flag donated in 1952 by the City of Oslo; The IOC President hands it over to the mayor of the host city of the next Olympic Games. This flag must be displayed until the next Olympic Games in the main building of the municipality of the host city of the next Olympic Games.

Following the address of the President of the OKOY, the President of the IOC makes his final speech at these Olympic Games, which he concludes with the words: “I declare the Games... the Olympics (or... the Winter Olympics) closed and, in accordance with tradition, I call on the youth of the world to gather through four years in... (in case the city has not yet been chosen, the name of the city is replaced by the words “at a place to be determined”) to celebrate with us the Games... Olympics (or... Winter Olympics).”

Fanfare sounds are heard; the Olympic flame is extinguished, and to the sounds of the Olympic anthem, the Olympic flag is slowly lowered and carried away (unfolded, in a horizontal position) from the field; he is followed by standard bearers. A farewell song is performed.

Olympic Games Award Ceremony(bye-law to Rule 70 of the Olympic Charter)

Medals at the Olympic Games are presented by the IOC President (or his designated IOC member), accompanied by the President of the relevant IF (or his deputy), whenever possible immediately after the end of the competition and at the same place where it was held. Medals are awarded as follows: 1st, 2nd and 3rd place athletes take their places on the podium (they must be wearing their official or sports uniform), facing the official podium, with the winner slightly above the second runner-up standing to his right , and the third prize-winner, who is to his left. The names of these winners, as well as those awarded an Olympic diploma, are announced. The flag of the delegation of the country of the winning athlete is raised on the central mast, and the flags of the countries of the second and third prize-winners are raised on adjacent masts, to the right and left of the central one, when facing the arena. During the performance (in an abbreviated version) of the national anthem in honor of the winner, all three medalists stand facing the flags.
