Although the Russia-Lithuania match took place at Otrytie Arena on Saturday, quite a few spectators came to Lokomotiv. Other matches of the national championship attract the same amount. Before the starting whistle, all those present observed a minute of silence in memory of the great Johan Cruyff.

Seedorf entered the field with the captain's armband, and three world champions of different years began the game with him: the Brazilians Bebeto (1994) and Dida (2002), as well as the Frenchman Karembeu (1998).
